The End

Here are the last of the pictures from our trip! Finally! Now I'll be forced to bring my camera to Braden's baseball games so that I have something new to post. Hopefully it gets a little warmer in the evenings though. Last Tuesday night, I thought I would freeze before his game ended. And tonight it was cold, windy, and raining! (Did I mention that I don't even like baseball?)

I love that he's pointing to a shark that he wants me to look at, when all the while, there is a big one swimming straight at us! (Kind of reminds me of the Jaws when the tunnel they are in starts to take on water and the tourists get trapped!)

Almost Done

Yes, I still have pictures from our trip to Myrtle Beach! I am almost at the end though, so please bear with me :)
Here are the boys checking out the sharks at the aquarium.

The best picture of us Braden took.

I thought this was pretty cool of Jon and his reflection.

And Braden and his reflection....... and the big shark above him.

A few more sharks.

Sting Ray's Up Close

Here is the second half of the sting ray show. The diver took them (and some food) up to the top half of the tank where people could pet them. Jon enjoyed it, but Braden was a bit hesitant.

Sting Ray Show

Pictures from the ray show. It was very cool to watch the giant ones! They look just like the teacher on "Finding Nemo." And their mouths were always moving so it looked like they were singing, also just like the teacher in "Nemo." Afterwards, we went above and they let you pet the rays. (Those pics I'll be posting next)

Ripley's Aquarium (finally)

After a busy, long, and sometimes stressful week, here are the first of the MANY pictures I took while we were at the aquarium in Myrtle Beach.
Here Braden and Jon read about and get to touch horseshoe crabs (I think). Despite the earth only being about 6,000 yrs old, according to this, horseshoe crabs have been around for MILLIONS of years! (Those who know me know that this is one of the things that really tees me off...... and makes it easy for people to discount Creation.)

Braden "inside" a clam shell.

Jon at the pirate display. He needs a bigger whatever this is.

Saturday.... Continued

After everyone washed off the ocean, we went out to dinner. We decided to head over to Broadway at the Beach which is in Myrtle Beach. (we were closer to North M.B. even the the hotel address said M.B.) Given that we were about to starve to death, we chose the closest restaurant there, Jimmy B's Margaritaville! We lucked out and got a table sooner than the 45 minute wait time. And despite how loud it was, we had a good time. The food was GREAT!

Here's Braden modeling the mask that came with his kids' menu. Braden and my dad.
The restaurant from outside.
Jon..... because he HAD to have his picture taken outside of the restaurant.

And coming soon.........
Pictures from our trip to the Aquarium on Sunday! :)

Also, Braden had his dance recital this Saturday. We spent almost 3 hrs at the dress rehearsal on Friday night and then went to see the new Narnia movie!!
Saturday Braden had baseball pictures at 9:30 am, Opening Day ceremony at 10:30, their first game at noon, AND he danced at 1:00 and 7:00 pm! Busy! Busy!
He did great at his recital! We were so proud of him and couldn't stop telling him so! He even smiled this year!

Saturday @ the beach

Friday night, Braden bought a small body board at the Ron Jon Surf Shop across the street. (We had dinner at Joe's Crab Shack. It was delicious, but our waiter was super slow and inattentive) Saturday afternoon, once Daddy and Grandpa Dave returned from the golf course, he was finally brave enough to give it a try. Off we go!

Not sure if I already posted this picture. Earlier Saturday morning, after Braden and I played a little frisbee on the beach, we went swimming in the beach-side pool.

More Beach

Braden edging out toward the waves. (The water was still a bit cool.)

Yes, that's my husband! It's hard to tell where the white shorts end and the white thighs begin.

The first of many dead jellyfish we saw at the beach.

I'm not really sure what was going on here, but they're so cute!

And here is the only proof that I too was at the beach.
I took this picture Saturday afternoon. We had tried playing with Braden's new frisbee, but it was super windy. The boys played in the water instead. (Pictures of that tomorrow)

Our Long Weekend

Here is the first of MANY installments from our trip to Myrtle Beach. We had a great time! The weather, for the most part, was gorgeous & there is nothing more relaxing than sunshine and the sound of the ocean.
This is the living room of our condo. The decorating was very dated, but it had one and one half bath & a kitchen!

The boys walking out to the beach.

A look back toward our condo. Our building was located behind the Towers. It was less than a 5 minute walk from our 4th floor condo down to the beach.

Looking down the beach. We were at the divide between North Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach. Because there was nothing on the other side of us, it was pretty quite. I loved the location!

Finally

We're off to the beach for a long weekend! Keep us in your prayers as we travel, please.

And don't forget to send Dallas birthday wishes on Saturday. She'll be three years old!
