Seriously?

Last night, Jon was getting a bit "agitated" watching the Mavs game. I finally asked him to quit or to at least tone it down a bit. His response?

"You know the Mavs are the only thing I'm emotionally invested in."

The only thing? Really? What about me? What about Braden? Shouldn't he also be emotionally invested in us? And more invested than the Mavs?

A few more

Another blurry one, but again, Tyler cracks me up. He had the chicken finger hanging out of his mouth long enough for me to notice, get out my camera, turn it on, and take a picture. He is too cute!

Braden took this picture of us.

Braden after we got home. You can't tell, but he has some wicked pink eyes. Not sure, but I think it's just allergies.

Jon watching the draft updates instead of looking at me. Didn't he look nice in he new shirt and tie! (The remote was not in his pocket during the wedding)

Another picture thanks to Braden.

More from the Wedding

Jon and Dave chatting.

Me and Mal.

Me with JK. So excited she could come to the wedding. We haven't seen each other in YEARS!!! Looks like Jon and I will need to plan a trip to Chicago soon.

Lyndsay, the beautiful matron of honor, and me.

Jon, who was kind enough to take all of the pictures of me with Mal, Lynds, and JK. Thanks honey!

*** And a huge thank you to Brooke for doing my make-up and curling my hair Saturday morning. You're awesome! And thanks to her sister, Ali, for the necklace, earrings, and eye make-up we borrowed from her house while she was at work! ***

Molli & Mike's Wedding

On Saturday, we went to my cousin Molli's wedding. The pictures aren't the greatest, but we had a great time visiting with family and friends. Molli looked gorgeous & so happy!

Here we are in the bathroom! The bride needed help holding her dress up while she went. Cori and I held the dress and I handed JK my camera to take a picture of the special moment.

First dance as man and wife.

Our table. I probably should have taken this BEFORE we started eating.

My cousin Lyndsay's husband, Dave and my cousins, Cam and Gregg. They were 3 of the ushers.

Poor Tyler! This picture is blurry, but he was so funny. He couldn't take a nap that afternoon, so he was running on empty. (He's 3 yrs old) He just flopped down on the floor to rest before heading back out on the dance floor.

5.2

There is nothing like being awaken at 5:40 am by what later turns out to be an earthquake in Illinois! I thought our house was going to collapse!
Our bed was shaking (which didn't wake me up because Dallas runs in her sleep), the open bedroom doors were banging against the backstops, and Jon's dresser was shaking (those noises are what got our attention). What a fun start to our Friday. It was almost 2 hours later before I finally saw the news coverage on TV.

Detour, Part 2 (all Braden)

"I see you, Mom."

Checking out Cedar Point.

Trying to sneak up on the seagulls. Trying to! He was not successful.

Tired from a weekend in the water. He slept most of the way home.

A Detour to the Pier

On our way home from Castaway Bay, we drove to the pier overlooking the lake. The weather was chilly, very windy, and a little rainy. We only stayed long enough for me to take a few pictures. Here is the first installment.

Jon, looking very confused at not being able to see anything. I wonder why!

Finally! He can see across the lake to Cedar Point. (I don't think these are made for tall people)

While Jon plays around, Braden attempts to fall in the freezing cold water.

He looks so excited to stand out in the rain.

Braden took our picture before we ran back to the car. You can see Cedar Point on the left.

Castaway, Part 3

Braden, meeting a wave head on.

Splashing Daddy.

Smile, Boys!

Castaway, Part 2 (Braden)

Here are a bunch of pictures I took of Braden while he hung out in the mini wave pool.

Castaway Bay

Yes, we're still alive! I haven't posted in ages. We've been busy & going through all of the pictures I took just hasn't sounded fun. But I finally sifted through this morning..... so here is your first of several installments.
The hotel/water park where we stayed.

This is what three of the waterslides looked like from outside. (I did not enjoy the pink one)

Random people taking off on the water coaster.

More of the water coaster (& lots of random people), as seen from near the wave pool.

Braden in the wave pool.
I have lots more to post, but right now, I need to finish my VBS stuff. People need to know we have a meeting next Sunday!!!
